TITAN GYM Cal State Fullerton's Titan Gym has served as the home court advantage for the Titans' men's and women's basketball programs since the 1964-65 season. Historically one of the most difficult places to play because of the proximity of the bleachers to the playing floor, Titan Gym has been upgraded over the past few years to make it more fan friendly while retaining its intimacy. Chairback seats have replaced most of the bleachers, portable basket supports have replaced the fold-down backboards, new paint and banners have been applied to the walls, and the floor has been redesigned and resurfaced. Prior to the 2003-04 season, the court gained a new look as a "drop-down" scoreboard was installed along with new auxillary scoreboards behind each basket. Prior to the 2004-05 season, balcony seating, as well as a much-needed practice floor, was added on the south side to increase capacity to around 4,000. The gymnasium is part of an expanded physical education/kinesiology complex, featuring numerous classrooms and physical testing laboratories. The facility also houses practice rooms for the Titans' wrestling, women's gymnastics, and fencing programs. Plans have been drawn to expand the front entrance of the gym to house a Titan Athletics Hall of Fame and meeting rooms to stage events such as pre-game social functions. Construction is imminent. |

GOODWIN FIELD Goodwin Field is the third on-campus diamond to serve Cal State Fullerton and, since its inauguration, has been an undeniable home field advantage for the four-time NCAA National Champion. Thanks in part to extensive renovations and a committment by the university to transform the field into a state-of-the-art facility, the NCAA has named Goodwin Field as a host site for Regional play in five of the past six seasons and a host for Super Regional play in four of the last five years. A $3 million expansion project, spearheaded by a $1 million gift from Jerry and Merilyn Goodwin, has transformed the field into one of the premier collegiate facilities on the West Coast. The field now features the Wilson Clubhouse - which includes lockerrooms, a reception area and offices for the coaches - and the Doubek VIP Room. Priot to the 2006 season, covered batting cages in the area between the coaches offices and the Fullerton Arboretum will enable hitting and pitching at night or during inclement weather. The beauty and durability of Goodwin Field have also attracted many outside organizations. Numerous high school baseball tournaments, camps, television commercials and, most recently, the minor league Fullerton Flyers of the independent Golden Baseball League, have utilizted the facility. The facility has also been used by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and both the United States and Japanese national teams in preparation for the 2006 World Baseball Classic. |

ANDERSON FAMILY FIELD Thanks to a generous gift from local families Jeff and Michelle and Dennis and Vicki Anderson, the main softball diamond at Cal State Fullerton was renamed Anderson Field during the 2006 season and stands as one of the top softball venues in the country. Having undergone a full remodel prior to the 2001 season, Anderson Field features elevated grandstand seating with permanent box seating behind home plate with chairback bleachers down both baselines. A permanent, expanded, two-tiered press box sits behind home plate with complete Internet accessibility for media members. A beautifully landscaped grassy knoll runs from the left field foul pole to right centerfield, making the area perfect for fans to enjoy the beautiful Southern California weather during day games. The main field also features two complete bullpens with room for two pitchers to warm up simultaneously and sunken dugouts for both teams. The site served as host to the 2003 NCAA Softball Regionals in addition to the annual Judi Garman Classic - widely regarded as the premier regular-season tournament in the nation. |

TITAN STADIUM As Cal State Fullerton establishes itself as one of the nation's elite soccer programs, the cornerstone can be seen in the form of Titan Stadium. Completed in 1992, the 10,000-seat facility has been called by many "one of the finest soccer facilities in the nation." With deference to the much larger, but fan-unfriendly Rose Bowl, site of the 1994 World Cup and the 1999 Women's World Cup, Titan Stadium is the second-best soccer facility in Southern California behind only the Home Depot Center in Carson - the home of the Los Angeles Galaxy and Club Deportivo Chivas USA of Major League Soccer as well as the U.S. Soccer Federation's national team training headquarters, in 2003. Titan Stadium, which was home to the Titans' football program for one year before the sport was dropped after the 1992 season, features 2,000 chairback seats and 2,500 bleachers with backrests in the western grandstand and about 5,000 seats on concrete steps along the eastern sideline. The pitch features an underground drainage system that allows it to be almost perfectly flat and is of maximum width and length (75x120 yards). The main press box seats more than 50 and features 10 booths for broadcasting, hospitality, etc. In 1993 and 1994, Titan Stadium served as the home of the Los Angeles Salsa of the American Professional Soccer League and hosted NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament action in 1994, 1996, and 1998. With its proximity to Hollywood, the stadium is also a hot-spot for the entertainment industry and is regularly featured in television commercials and programs. UCLA also utilized the facility in 2003 for its fall football camp. The playing surface was totally renovated in July of 2005 and played host to the Big West Conference Women's Soccer Tournament and first two rounds of the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament later that year. |
