Second TItan Qualifies for Track Nationals

Northridge, Calif. - Sophomore Garrett Myers will join teammate Jonathan Golden at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, beginning June 11 after he qualified with a fourth-place finish in the triple jump Saturday at the Regional championships at Cal State Northridge. Myers jumped 50-feet, 11 inches. Golden qualified in the high jump on Friday. Two other Titans suffered misfortune in their attempts to advance. Pole vaulter Andrew Little had his pole snap on an early jump and steeplechaser Carolyn Ellis tumbled to the ground when a preceding runner fell in front of her. Both continued to compete but failed to qualify. |
